VALBONA
Valbona, municipality of the province of Teruel, located in the foothills of the Sierra de Gúdar, belongs to the region of Gúdar / Javalambre.

Monuments to highlight, has a parish church with three naves built in the sixteenth century, there are two chapels dedicated to the Virgin of Loreto dating from the sixteenth century and another to San Cristobal dated at the beginning of the seventeenth century. The founder of Monte de Piedad in Madrid, Francisco Piquer y Rudilla, was born. It has a population of 195 inhabitants.

The village is located at an altitude of 949 meters above sea level and the distance by road with Teruel capital of the province is 35 kilometers. It celebrates its celebrations: first week of August and the employer’s associations the third Sunday of September.

The Valbona reservoir constitutes a wonderful enclave where we can take a bath, visit the surroundings: the Piquillo dam, the Cura fountain … in short, enjoy a perfectly conditioned area to spend a good day in the country.
